Julia Blair is a developmental editor and story coach whose mission is to help writers strengthen their commitment to craft, improve technical skills, and develop storytelling expertise. Specializing in action and worldview genres, her manuscript wish list includes character-driven novels, epic and urban fantasy, pre-modern historical fiction, found families, redemption arcs, and reinterpreted fairy and folk tales.
One of the original SG Certified Editors, she believes the Story Grid method is among the most effective tools a writer can leverage. She is also an alum of Robert McKee’s Story seminar and an active participant in the Midwest Writers Workshop.
Julia is the published author of the short story Elixir, her spin on the tale of Sleeping Beauty, and has written articles for the Story Grid website.
